Our Purpose
The purpose of the weed board is to promote pro-active weed management in Powell County. We do this through various avenues which include: landowner education & outreach; prevention; agreements for weed management on public lands; cost-share programs; biological control programs; assisting private owners with weed management strategies, providing information on research and the newest technology and our “no-cost” spraying and seeding equipment loan program.
