The mission of the Powell County Council on Aging is to maintain a system providing services to Senior Citizens which enables them to remain independent and dignified especially those with social and economic needs.

Office Hours:  Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., except holidays

FREE Tax Help Available Locally During Tax Season

For those of low to moderate income, and especially those over 50, your taxes do not have to be a struggle! A trained and certified volunteer will be at a local IRS-AARP Tax Aide Program site soon. Volunteers will prepare and e-file your state and federal income taxes for you. Call Brandi Schwab at the Powell County Courthouse to schedule an appointment–846-9789 extension 2 or send an email to coa2@powellcountymt.gov

You have the right to file a complaint of discrimination in writing no later than 180 calendar days after the date of the alleged discrimination.
