The Powell County Commissioners are soliciting applications for District #2 road crewman (Helmville/Ovando Division), to perform county road, bridge and building maintenance and operate equipment as assigned by Road Foreman. The position requires experience operating and maintaining various types of equipment. A commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required. DEPUTY COUNTY ATTORNEY
The Powell County Attorney’s Office announces an opening for hiring and appointment of a part-time Deputy County Attorney.
Qualified applicants will be licensed attorneys in good standing in the State of Montana or who will obtain a Montana license within 90 days of hire. Trial experience is desired but not required. Additional experience in public or business administration is desired.
The primary function of the position will be prosecution of criminal cases in the State of Montana in the Third Judicial District Court and the Powell County Justice Court. The secondary function of the position is advisory to the Powell County commissioners and department heads.
This is a part-time, contract position of 10-16 hours per week paid at $75 per hour for 10-15 hours per week. The Powell County Weed Board Office is currently hiring for the position of part time administrative and financial assistant.
Administrative/financial assistant duties and responsibilities include: general office organization and management, data entry, balance sheet preparation, financial records maintenance and reporting, and processing invoices. Proficiency in office management systems including Excel and MS Word and attention to detail and accuracy required. Accounting experience highly desirable.
