During periods of time when the Commissioners are “In Office” without specific items on the agenda they will be conducting usual and regular business such as:
Make or return phone calls, handle correspondence, review and prepare for committee assignments, and converse with staff or the public that stop into the office. Conversations with the constituents of Powell County are encouraged during these non-agenda office times.
No action will be taken by the Commissioners on any item during these time periods. Per MCA Code 2-3-214(6) the Commissioners may be in office together and not be a quorum solely on the basis of sharing common office space.
