By following and being accountable to this strategic action plan, the Powell County, Natural Resource Conservation Department will be able to restore and enhance ecological health and resilience, foster economic prosperity, and cultivate cultural vitality in a collaborative and community-driven manner. Specific initiatives and projects will be developed and detailed in annual work plans. Implementation actions will be identified, prioritized, and designed around driving issues and evolving dynamics. Thus initiatives, programs, and projects will be implemented through iterative adaptive management practices. The department will assess, prepare and report outcomes and accomplishments through annual accomplishment reports that report benefits to people, soil, water, plants, wildlife, and air.
